Fourteen teams entered the Lovelane Cheshire U21 Knockout in 2005. |
|
|
Matches were to be arranged between the teams involved and played by the dates given with the draw. No extensions were allowed. |

The final of the Lovelane U21 Cheshire Knockout Competition 2005, was between Nantwich, the holders, and Wallasey. it was played at Nantwich on Sunday 18th September. |

Wallasey batted first and some fine bowling from the South Cheshire side sawthem dismissed for a meagre total of 89. The wickets were shared between Dave Walters with 4-16 and Ben Mogg who took 3-1. |

Chester Boughton Hall responded well to the challenge and with Warren Goodwin making a fluent 81 a close finish was set up. However Nantwich's reply was led by Ray Doyle, 27, and Chris Simpson, 26. Although both were out Nantwich went on to win by 8 wickets and retain the trophy. |
Nantwich v Wallasey:
Wallasey 89 (D.Walters 4-16, B.Mogg 3-1),
Nantwich 90-2 (R.Doyle 27, C.Simpson 26).
Nantwich won by 8 wickets.
